Paola Calderon

Being originally from Toronto, I never imagined finding myself living in the vibrant city of Montreal and eventually studying photography at Dawson College. Throughout my life, I’ve taken a few Art History and Studio Art classes but I never really took the step towards finding and expressing my own artistic style. For this reason, I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity work on a portfolio which brings together my love for photography, food, Renaissance and Netherlandish art. I’d like to thank all the wonderful models, makeup artists, instructors, and technicians at Dawson College for helping me over the last 2 years. In particular, I’d like to thank my portfolio advisor, Michel Pilon, for challenging and helping me grow over such a short period of time. Lastly, I’d like to thank my entire family and Vincent Saluzzi. Thanks for patiently modeling hours on end in the studio under hot lights before I got to learn how to use flash! I’m so grateful to have someone in my life that encourages me to become a better photographer every day.
