Julia’s passion for photography grew while working as an art buyer in a major advertising agency in Paris. After organizing fun advertising photo shoots and living behind the scenes, she invested in her very first reflex camera. She quickly became known as the “lady with the camera,” as she was everywhere and all the time. After completing her Master’s degree in Business Administration, Julia decided to take off to South Korea – a country she knew almost nothing about. She quickly landed a dream job of sorts; traveling, taking pictures and writing about the ‘Land of the Morning Calm’ for the Korean Tourism Organization for three years. Her portfolio reflects her love of diversity in people, their life stories, ethnicities and cultures. She is hoping to pursue her series on location one day while traveling. While at Dawson, she also developed a strong interest in editorial and wedding photography – a genre that she is currently practicing before opening her own company.
